Mother's Day Fashion for Kids

Vertbaudet have asked bloggers to put together an outfit for their children from the collections on their website as part of a competition to win an awesome prize.

I have always admired Vertbaudet for their range of child friendly clothes, not too adult like. They look comfortable and not too restricting for a child's daily exploring of the world around them.

For my daughter who loves pink I have chosen an outfit which I think she would love but that isn't too over the top pink, with splashes of purple breaking up the pattern. I love the dress and this cardigan would be perfect for those cooler days, teamed with tights and these gorgeous little boots. The whole outfit comes to £79 which I don't think is that bad, each piece can be worn on it's own or as part of this fab little outfit.

I couldn't leave my son out whilst browsing the site, so have chosen this rather dashing trio, the linen trousers and organic jumper look super smart and the trainers add a smart casual feel to the outfit. Overall this comes to £82 which may sound like a lot but it includes a pair of leather trainers so I don't think this is too bad. Again these are all key pieces that could be worn with other outfits over summer.

Vertbaudet have a wonderful range of reasonably priced items including their 'happy price' range which offers super value.

I have really enjoyed putting these outfits together and I am now more eager for summer to arrive ;)

Halloween fun!

So we have the pumpkins...

And thanks to Tesco and their half price sale on all Halloween costumes we have the outfits.

My son wanted to be a bat and this bat costume was a snip at £4 and the little witches outfit for my little girl (who hasn't really got a choice) was only £3.

We have a few bits from a party a few years ago and I think we will be making some spooky cakes on Saturday.

We haven't decided whether we are going to go trick or treating just to the neighbours we know or have a little party with the grandparents but hopefully my son will have fun.

I have found a simple, easy and hopefully less messy alternative to the toffee apples, chocolate dipped apples yummy. I think you can buy kits from the supermarket with Halloween sprinkles etc.

There are some fab ideas over on the New Mummy's Tips blog for Halloween drinks, decorations etc so pop on over and have a look if you need some inspiration.
