I went on a food photography course yesterday, it was inspiring and thought provoking and I had so much fun. Although this isn't one of my favourite from the session I wanted to save those for another post. This is still full of detail though and the shapes and textures of the plums, cake and stone floor is just wonderful.

Black & White Photography Project Week 66
Yesterday we were lucky enough to be invited on a fabulous blog event in Nottingham, we visited several of Nottingham's wonderful attractions, more to come on a blog soon but I wanted to include this beautiful picture of my daughter making a clay butterfly. It works so well in black and white and I just love how it works.

Black & White Photography Project Week 64
This weekend we visited Southwell Ploughing Match, we visited a few years ago and it was such a great experience for the children to see some history and agriculture, a sometimes forgotten part of our lives. But with livestock, shows, ploughing and much more it was a brilliant way to spend our Saturday.

Black & White Photo Project Week 62
Autumn is fast approaching and for the first time I miss my old garden, I miss the treasure that was my apple tree. Thankfully our local green grocer stocks some wonderful British varieties, but still the joy I felt collecting apples I miss so much.

Black & White Photography Project Week 61
Another one from our visit to the beautiful Le Treport on our last day in France, as we got to the top of the hillside via the wonderful funicular railway the view was amazing. I just had to take a shot before we headed back to the car.

Black and White Photography Project Week 59
As we visited Paris this week the obvious choice had to be the Eiffel Tower, such an imposing structure and a joy to visit, although we didn't go to the top as it was closed when we got there.

Black & White Photography Project Week 58
The moody skies over the Abbaye De Jumieges, it was a sunny and rainy day in equal proportions but we enjoyed walking round the ruins. This part of the abbey was built by William the Conquerer back in 1067 so is one of the oldest buildings we've ever visited.
