I have been looking at the gorgeous snaps over on I Heart Snapping for a few weeks now, and whilst out with my daughter scooting for the first time on her new scooter I knew this would make a great picture.
Life continues to be full of firsts even second time round and never does it cease to amaze me what we learn as a family.
Shortly after this picture was taken my little girl had two falls…but she got back up we and we carried on.

Packing Away the Past
This last few weeks we have been trying to de-clutter and with my daughters second birthday fast approaching we know it's only a matter of time before we are again fighting with yet more toys.
So it is with a heavy heart that I pack away the old toys, the ones we have had since my son was small, each one a memory from a birthday or Christmas.
All of the clothes I have been holding on to for some unknown reason sit waiting to be sold on a day I can bear to part with them.
I stopped and asked my husband whether that was it, whether two was enough and we were sure we weren't going to have anymore.
I think deep down we would both love another baby but we know that it cannot be, we don't have enough room, a big enough car or endless amounts of money to pay for another one.
Part of me hurts knowing this is my lot, my daughter was my last and that is it for me and my body.
But I have two healthy children who I adore and I am not sure I could bear my beautiful and wonderfully amazing daughter to be the middle child.
So I pack everything away for new homes and instead treasure the pictures I have so lovingly taken with them in and hope instead they bring someone else as much happiness.

Kisses, hugs and cuddles!
My son is such a loving little soul, he always tells me he loves me, gives me hugs and cuddles and is generally the sweetest thing. My daughter kisses and cuddles too but she is only 2 so she doesn’t understand why she’s doing it yet.
I treasure and cherish every one of those kisses in case they stop, a colleague at work tells me how her 16 year old daughter never talks to her let alone kisses and cuddles her, it has been this way since she was about 11.
If I am sad or just need a cuddle I still go to my mum and I really hope my son and daughter are the same, however I know one day I will probably be an embarrassment to them and they won’t want to know me.
So for now I will continue to treasure my perfect little people in all their hugging and kissing glory.
Love you guys :'o)

We have lift off!
Well not exactly lift off, but today my little girl pulled herself up for the first time!
*excuse me a second whilst I sob into a tissue* Soon she will be walking and then she will be a toddler and no longer a baby!
I can see why some women have child after child, as much as I enjoy watching her grow there is part of me that just wants her to be my baby that little bit longer. But as she curiously watches her brother running round like a mad man I can see in her eyes the desire to be chasing him.
The term 'eyes in the back of your head' has never rung so true, I have no idea how I am going to keep tabs on them both once they are both mobile.
I suppose we had better think about getting her some shoes *claps* with my son there wasn't a huge choice but for girls...whoa nelly I am soooo excited.
Just have to get her little feet measured (and I mean little she has the dinkiest of feet) and then off I shop, first stop will be Little Stomper if you haven't visited them you should.

A hard decision!
So a reminder letter and a talking to by some work colleagues has got me really panicky about my sons school application for next year.
The deadline is 15th January and I haven't been and looked round a single one! I feel like such a bad mummy, this is his life and future I am being blasé about! I really think I have been putting it off because I can't cope with the fact my baby is going to school!
The last few years have flown by and my time with PND really took some quality moments away from me, he is the most amazing little person I have ever met and I feel really sad that this is happening!
I know every mum and dad go through this but my heart really aches with the thought of him being in school!
I think I have found a nice one within walking distance, which is something I had really hoped for. Well I say walking distance I think I am going to be super fit this time next year. We live on one side of a huge hill the school is on the other side and a bit a long!
The next decision will be what am I going to do about work? If we can't find a school with before or after school clubs then it just won't be worth me going to work and thus my daughter won't need to go to nursery.
I think this is so sad as my son has always enjoyed nursery and I did enjoy my time in work, but for what will be about £20 after we have paid for nursery is it worth it?!?
I really can't believe I am looking at schools for my son, it really does only seem like five minutes ago that we bought him home from the hospital all small and squishy!

How time flies....blink and you'll miss it.
I have two children, a little boy who is three and a little girl who is eight months on Friday.
I cannot believe how time has flown, in fact I should be going back to work next week but due to having loads of holidays left I have managed to make it so I don't go back until January.
But how quick has this year gone? Am I the only one shocked by the fact it is October at the weekend?
My blog posts will, unless I have an evening free, remain short and sweet as I am all to aware of the fact whilst I am writing this my gorgeous babies are growing up around me.
I spent over a year in PND hell with my son and so have been trying to enjoy the time with my daughter as much as I can, in the hope I can keep it away this time and so far so good.
Nothing would have made me feel sadder than missing out on those first few months with both my babies, after all they aren't babies for long.
This week my daughter has discovered the art of clapping...it is a joy to watch, as is her and my sons love for each other, it makes my heart melt. It is this that makes the growing up easier to deal with, I am sure they will be at each others throats one day but for now I watch their relationship grow and I love every minute.
He is in awe when she does new things and I can see the adoration in her eye's at this person who can do anything and everything.
