Beautiful Jewellery for Mother's Day

Recently, I was approached by Chisholm Hunter to see if i would like to review a piece from their Mother's Day range, not one to turn down jewellery and having gazed in the window of their Nottingham store on more than one occasion, I said yes.

There is currently a divine selection to choose from and the Bronzallure range did not disappoint, I was sent a beautiful rose gold plated bracelet with chalcedony charm, this sent my magpie tendencies into overdrive, and that of my daughter, who cooed over it before being told it was for mummy!

The shipping box was beautifully presented and inside was a fabulous wood effect box containing the bracelet, it shone in the sunlight and I love the rose gold, just beautiful for any skin tone.

The bracelet itself is chunky and the clasp feels sturdy, like it will not break easily. I love the attention to detail, with the tags displaying where it was made and the Bronzallure range name.

It is a fabulously rich colour and I knew instantly what I would style it up with, although at the moment this outfit will have to wait, the rose gold goes perfectly with this gold and black dress and a pair of black patent heels.

But it isn't just for dressing up, I wore the bracelet to tea at my mother in laws house, it didn't feel out of place and just added a bit of glitz to an otherwise every day outfit.

I love how this bracelet looks against my skin, even with my pale complexion, it doesn't wash me out and sits fabulously against my wrist, although this wouldn't be something I would chose myself I am glad I was sent something a bit different. I haven't really worn jewellery much since my children were born, nothing worse than having to pull it off them as they try to chew it or want to wear it themselves.

This will give me a bit of something to glam up my work outfits, trips out with friends and date night. The bracelet costs £89 which I think is about right for a piece of jewellery like this, and because it is so wearable I wouldn't consider it too expensive either.

Mothers Day Treats

So this is more a post about the things I would like for mothers day, a little inspiration for my children/hubby.

And with so many wonderful things around this is possibly going to be a long post…

This was on my Christmas list but sadly Santa must have missed it, I love the colour and would love this for popping on with skinny jeans and for cooler summer evenings (plus the colour almost matches my Sun Jellies) gorgeous Hello jumper from Southwood Stores, £40.00.

This seems to be my mantra at the moment, so I would love this print from Bodie and Fou, £35.00.

I have a real penchant for flamingos and adore this tea towel from Cuckooland, £12 but well worth it to have hanging in the kitchen.

And finally, even though I already have a pair of these gorgeous Sun Jellies shoes I definitely need more and I love these silver glitter ones, perfect to go with everything but I also like the fluro pink, yellow and the red, only £16.00.

I really love this dress from Tigerlilly Quinn's shop, I love foxes and this is just gorgeous and really reasonably priced too at just £28.00.

And finally because I cannot get enough of this smell I would really love a little pot of this loveliness from The Body Shop, it smells so gorgeous and I love lip balm, a snip at £4.00 ;)

Baker Days Review and Giveaway

Last week I was sent a special mothers day cake through the post from Baker Days, my husband thinks this is a way of him getting out of doing the whole mothers day thing but it's another couple of weeks away so I had to tell him otherwise ;)

Anyway on to the subject of cake, I am a fan of cake and am usually the baker so imagine my delight when I was offered the chance to review a cake that would be delivered direct to my door.

In a rather unassuming box, was delivered a little bit of happiness, a pretty tin containing a gorgeous cake accompanied by a little card and a packet of love hearts.

Imagine, you live far away from a loved one and it's their birthday, well how about sending them a cake in a box, personalised and containing everything they'll need to add a little sparkle to their day.

Mothers Day Treats

Mothers day is less than a month away and I have been looking for some ideas, so far I have found lots of scrummy things I just wanted to share.

After seeing a recent blog post over on housewife confidential I decided I am going to become a bit of a tea/hand towel addict, it might just be my new thing.

I love these from Sew White, they are really gorgeous and reasonably priced at £3 for two.

These Mummy Birthstone necklace from Poppy Sparkles are just gorgeous, I would love one for myself but also think it would be great to give my mum. - £45

I think anything from More Than Words is brilliant, I love this one for mothers day - £40-115 depending on size/type.

I love cake, my mother in law loves cake and my mum loves cake so this would be perfect for any of us really, I adore the colour and to be honest anything from the white approach would be fine by me - £12

One of my favourite things, something luxurious, that's right hot chocolate....my anytime of the year drink. I had some of this for Christmas and it went within a few weeks. - £5
